Humantay Lake is a stunning turquoise glacial lake nestled in the Peruvian Andes, at an altitude of about 4,200 meters (13,780 feet). Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, the lake is part of the Salkantay Mountain range. Its crystal-clear waters reflect the majestic mountains, creating a breathtaking scene. The trek to the lake is challenging but offers incredible views of the surrounding landscape, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
Departure early morning, pick up at the hotel 5am then 2 hours drive to mollepata town where we stop for breakfast. the journey continues for 1 more hour to sorayapampa, 3 km hike to lake humantay, 3km back to bus stop to then drive back to cusco with previous lunch break. arrival estimate at 6 pm.
